Value Constellation Ontology

What might a representation of a value constellation using iStar and OPM conventions look like? From service science, suppose we have four actors, i.e. service systems entities:

  • beneficiary stakeholders (who enjoy or use an offering);
  • a customer signatory (who negotiates access for and/or lends funding for the offering);
  • a provider signatory (who negotiates access of an/or receives funding for the offering);
  • suppliers (who collaborate on provision of the offering).

Each actor has his or her own set of beliefs (i.e. an appreciation of value that is implicit).

Each actor has his or her own softgoals (i.e. value judgements that are weighted, and qualitative).

Each actor has hardgoals (i.e. outcomes that are measurable, and quantitative).

Each actor has task goals (i.e. commitments that can be tracked for fulfillment).

Each actor has resource goals (i.e. offerings that can be brought to bear).

Amongst the goals, objects and processes can be specified.
